I used my Visa Credit card for the transaction. Because of irregulariteies, I cancelled a few days latter- by filling out the form on their website cancellation page, by e-mailing them on their contact page, and by regular post. Zoosk claims I made no such cancellation, basing it on "information from their computer autofeed system". They immediately charged my credit card for the 1 month trial membership (which I do not dispute), BUT ALSO 2 ADDITIONAL PAYMENTS OF 40 DOLLARS EACH- FOR ADDITIONAL MONTHS OF MEMBERSHIP, AFTER NOTIFICATION BY ME THAT I HAD CANCELLED. I wrote to Zoosk and they refuse to reverse their wrongful billing for the 2 months after I cancelled their membership. If their computer system is defective, it is not my fault. I do recall also, that when I tried to cancell using their website cancellation form, it does NOT allow the user to make a printed copy of the transaction- thus they do not allow the user to verify the cancellation. Now I have to pay the additional 80 dollars on my credit card.... and I have been forced to cancell my credit card to prevent further billing past the point that I attempted to cancell. Zoosk does not provide a phone number to contact them, for confirmation or to discuss difficulties in billing. Everything is done through their autofeed system.They also engage in deceptive advertising since the so-called one month trail subsciption requires a formal cancellation theough their sytem, against the common law interpretation that "one month trial would mean automatic ending at the end of that month. According to the terms of their agreement, in the small print, it is only a one month trail subscription IF and When a formal cancellation is made USING their form to notify them. The fraud involved, is that when using their online form to attempt to cancell, it does not work and so billing continues month by month, AGAINST THE WISHES OF THE USER, as in my case.
